Classic Jazz Design
The King 2B Trombone is extremely similar to its counterpart, the 3B, which is noted as the typical jazz trombone. It's smaller 12.2mm bore offers the trombone player a brilliant and accurate sound, which favours an easy playing of the higher register. The smaller than normal 18.7cm rose brass bell gives a warm but clear tone, making it very versatile. The clear lacquered finish also helps achieve the warm tone of the instrument. Overall, in comparison to the 3B, this trombone offers a crisper sound that can penetrate through an ensemble slightly easier. It's a jazz trombone player's dream.
Even back in the creation of King instruments in 1894, the instrument was hailed for its smooth and light slide action. From that point on, new skills and technology has only made the trombones better. The chrome plated nickel silver tubing makes for a lightweight slide, offering the player huge technical versatility on quicker passages of music.
As well the trombone, included in this bundle is a luxury black hard case, designed for the King trombone to fit in securely. This makes transporting the instrument to concerts and rehearsals very easy. Also included is a King 12C mouthpiece which is manufactured to the specifications of the trombone. It plays freely and easily in the higher register and produces a beautiful and rich tone.
