Key Features
Product Ref: 117553
On top of Rubicon II's improved layout/interface and bigger size, it also features a few new features. Rubicon II features a WARP output with a dedicated control knob, which generates a hybrid of complex pulse and other waves for weird and wonderful sounds. This rotary knob controls the amount and direction by which the sub oscillator is warped by the tri-state pulse, allowing for the creation of new sounds. The SQUISH switch limits and folds the output waveform. The symmetry controls set the direction and magnitude of the waveform through the linear FM circuit. The Rubicon II now features a new symmetry lock that provides improved tracking in thru-zero FM, allowing you to get perfectly symmetrical thru-zero FM with no change in pitch or tracking. On the original Rubicon you would need to adjust symmetry and pitch precisely to get thru-zero FM, whereas you can simply flick this button.
The Intellijel Rubicon II is a highly versatile VCO providing ease of use for switching between LFO and VCO. Featuring nine primary waveforms, the Rubicon II is capable of producing an array of metallic, alien-like sounds. Provided are pitch controls and FM index controls that allow you to adjust the depth of frequency modulation. On top of that, Rubicon II provides controls for altering timbre such as pulse width modulation, as well as exponential and linear FM control. Additionally, there are wave type switches that modify the waveforms, allowing you to create a wide number of sounds.
