Since picking up the drumsticks at the tender age of eight, Dave Weckl has been all about the groove. His innate musicality earned him a place among the famous faces of the 1980s New York jazz fusion scene. His talent was obvious, and he was swiftly snapped up by modern jazz luminaries such as Chick Corea and George Benson, as well as huge names like Paul Simon and Robert Plant. Now leading the Dave Weckl Band, his flair and style continue to inspire drummers of all styles to this day.
