The slim 6-ply shells are manufactured with Pearl's 'Superior Shell Technology' with overlapping scarf-joint seams and proprietary AcoustGlue. This clever glue fills every pore and dries to the exact consistency of the wood for optimum resonance. The plies are then formed in a high-temperature mold with a hydraulic press to produce perfect drum shells.
