Quality Sitka Spruce & Mahogany Construction

Crafted from sitka spruce and mahogany, the L-00 Standard provides a versatile sound that will accommodate numerous genres and playing techniques with ease. Its sitka spruce top generates an incredibly versatile sound that can handle aggressive strumming to fingerpicking whilst yielding crisp articulation and a broad dynamic range. The brightly toned sitka spruce top is accompanied by rich mahogany back and sides. The back and side panels deliver a meaty mid-range, and produces punchy, woody tones with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles. In addition to its superb tone, the mahogany also adds to the overall visual impact of the L-00 Standard.

Mahogany 'v' Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

The L-00 Standard's neck is constructed from mahogany, offering durability and superb resonance. Mahogany responds incredibly well to picking, strumming, and various finger techniques with equal ease. The neck also features a V-shape profile which adds a 50's feel to this Gibson Standard, and also provides players with a comfortable, solid grip. Its solid mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that provides players with a beautifully melodic sparkly sound that really shines through when using fingerpicking techniques. Its rosewood fingerboard also offers a smooth and energetic playing experience and is sprinkled with mother of pearl dot inlays for a high-quality finish.

Traditional Hand Scalloped X-Bracing

As with many of Gibson's acoustic range, the L-00 features traditional hand scalloped X-bracing. This specific type of bracing structure consists of two braces forming an 'X' shape across the soundboard which not only enhances the sound and offers a well-balanced tone, but also provides a reinforced stable and durable structure.

Vintage Appearance

For added elegance and vintage appeal, the L-00 is finished with a stunning vintage sunburst, complemented by an authentic pickguard. The L-00 Standard also features a traditional multi-strip sound-hole rosette with matching white single ply binding.
