The Blackstar amp head is designed with a pair of preamp ECC83 and power amp EL34 tubes, delivering 20 watts of stunning tonal variety suitable for a range of musical styles. Its two-channel setup offers players everything from smooth cleans to destructive distortion and everything in between. The clean channel has been designed to offer crystal clean sounds to warm, slightly overdriven, crunchy tones, with a beautifully sparkling high end and a luscious low end accommodating a range of playing styles. The overdrive channel is perfect for saturating your tone in a classic clean sound on the edge of breakup, all the way to filthy, distorted leads ideal for hard rock and metal.
The HT Studio amp head features Blackstar’s patented infinite shape feature control, giving players the ability to adjust the tone signature from an American style amp to a British style amp. Switching the amp to the American characteristic provides a thin bottom end with an aggressive middle, while the British characteristic offers a less aggressive, more woody tone. The 3-Band EQ offers control over the amp’s bass, middle, and treble frequencies, letting players shape the amp to suit their playing style. Independent volume controls are featured on the clean and overdriven channels, with a tone control on the clean and a gain control on the overdrive.
The HT Studio 20H is also designed with a natural sounding digital reverb, adding a beautifully musical dynamic to both clean and overdriven channels while setting a new standard in guitar amp specific reverb design. The amp head also features an effects loop, allowing players to integrate their favourite stompboxes to expand its tonal possibilities. Another great addition to the amp head is its emulated output, allowing players to directly feed the amp into their PA system or recording device for the ultimate experience.
The HTV-212 Cab is designed with two 12'' Celestion speakers, offering an incredible versatile performance capable of capturing the wide range of sounds of the HT Studio 20H. Its mono and stereo operation allows players to find the perfect setup for their rig, while its open back design enhances their tone with a wide resonance and lots of ambient spread. Constructed with finger-locked (comb) joints, and featuring solid handles and corner protectors, the Blackstar Extension Cab will survive life on the road making it the ideal choice for travelling musicians.
