Solid Cedar Top

The La Patrie Hybrid Cw Lightburst features a stunning select pressure tested solid cedar top. This manufacturing process of pressure testing each solid top, ensures the highest levels of stiffness and rigidity along with maximum harmonic vibration. This process is becoming more and more popular with guitar manufacturing as it benefits the overall tone, projection and resonance of a guitar. It is this combination of quality, rigidity and flexibility that gives the top its resonance and appearance.

The La Patrie Hybrid Cw Lightburst is also environmentally friendly, as the wood used for the top is found only in Cedar trees that have previously fallen. This particular wood is well know for its distinctive straight grain, and red-brown tones. It is a particular common choice for finger-style players.

Custom Polish For a Custom Appearance

Like all guitars in La Patrie series, the La Patrie Hybrid Cw Lightburst features a stunning custom polished finish, which is inspired by the appearance of French polish of the 19th Century. Rather than featuring a thick coat of polish like standard classical guitars, the guitar's custom polish is thinner and allows the top not only to be protected, but also to breathe and vibrate freely. This type of finish also ensures the sound gets better with age, and makes a worthwhile investment.

Cutaway Design

The cutaway is a popular feature on many guitars and consists of a indentation in the upper bout of the body. Its function is to simply allow easier access to the higher frets, thus providing you with more freedom around the fingerboard.

Innovative Double Function Truss Rod

As well as featuring a stunning body that resonates well, the Hybrid Cw Lightburst also features an innovative double-function truss rod system within its mahogany neck. Truss rods are never normally featured on classical guitars and have always been made with thick neck dimensions, yet its function on the concert allows for a slimmer neck profile. This clever truss rod system offers extraordinary comfort, while increasing stability.

Electronics

The La Patrie Hybrid Cw Lightburst is cleverly equipped with Quantum II electronics, and provides an enhanced sound. The Quantum II is a hybrid system combining an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer and also a high quality eletret microphone. The microphone feature is mounted at the end of a 6 inch flexible boom integral to the side mount electronics. Controls are easy to operate and consist of standard volume, treble and bass, with additional controls to adjust microphone presence/phase. The Microphone phase control blends the internal mic and under saddle pickup signals and switches phasing between the two.

Attention to Detail

A beautiful guitar wouldn't be complete without the final touches. The Hybrid Cw Lightburst is nicely finished off with a lovely light burst finish, an intricate rosette, cream binding, rosewood fingerboard and bridge as well as a cream Tusq nut and a fully compensated saddle by Graphtech.

TRIC Case

The La Patrie Hybrid Cw Lightburst is complete with a TRIC case. Manufactured from shock-absorbent, expanded polypropylene which offers unparalleled protection against everyday uses of a musician. TRIC stands for 'Thermally Regulated Instrument Case', and is crafted from the same material which is used to make bicycle helmets. Not only is it strong, but also offers protection against the elements, and can withstand extreme weather conditions. Weighing under 3.65 pounds, it features all the protection of a flight case at just a fraction of the weight. The Tric case wouldn't be complete without two shoulder straps to allow it to be carried over your shoulder or on your back.

Its plush interior holds the guitar in place, and even includes a convenient interior storage compartment for storage accessories. Finally, the case is finished off with a hermetically sealed tongue and groove fitting zip, that ensures the case is firmly secured.
