Authentic grand piano touch
The CSP 295 uses Yamaha’s premium GrandTouch keyboard with counterweights and 88-key linear graded hammers. This design replicates the leverage and balance of an acoustic grand piano, giving consistent resistance across the full range. Counterweights improve control during pianissimo passages, while key return is optimised for fast, repeated notes. The GP Response Damper pedal also recreates the progressive resistance of an acoustic grand, allowing for subtle control of sustain.
Concert grand sound
This model features high-quality samples of the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grands. Both pianos are also available in binaural form, creating an immersive headphone experience. Virtual Resonance Modelling simulates the sympathetic vibrations of strings and body resonance, while Grand Expression Modelling allows for detailed tonal shaping based on touch. With 919 voices and 403 preset songs, the CSP 295 provides authentic piano tones alongside a broad library of other instruments.
Extensive voice library
In addition to premium pianos, the voice library includes electric pianos, strings, choirs, brass, woodwinds, synths, and percussion. With 47 drum and SFX kits included, it’s possible to build full arrangements directly from the piano. The CSP 295 also features 403 preset songs, from classical standards to popular music and exercises, which can be practised with Stream Lights or the Smart Pianist app.

The CSP 295’s speaker system includes spruce cone drivers and a three-way design with bass, mid and treble units. Bidirectional horns enhance projection, producing a sound field that closely matches the resonance of a real grand piano. Yamaha’s Grand Acoustic Imaging technology ensures sound disperses naturally into the room, while Intelligent Acoustic Control maintains balance across all volume levels. The result is a spacious, realistic piano sound whether practising quietly or performing.
Performance made simple
Stream Lights above the keys guide practice, while the Smart Pianist app provides interactive scores, tempo control, and the Audio to Score function, which generates chord charts from your favourite songs. With 525 accompaniment styles, microphone input with vocal harmony effects, and Bluetooth Audio/MIDI, the CSP 295 supports both learning and live performance. A 16-track MIDI recorder and WAV/AAC audio recording make it easy to capture and share music.
