Handmade OCC7 capsule - inspired by the legendary CK1

Developed in Vienna, the custom OCC7 condenser capsule takes the legendary sound of the CK1 a step further utilising modern innovations to the capsule to the next level. Utilising true condenser technology, the capsule features a three-micron thick gold-coated polyethylene naphthalate which is more robust than its Mylar counterparts. Constructed using the finest components, the OCC7 delivers a sound like no other.

Retaining its ultra-linear frequency response even when exposed to high sound pressure levels, the CC8 is a must-have for any audio professional’s studio. It delivers a natural yet open sound that won’t distort even when recording high-level sound sources. This makes it perfect for a range of applications from recording acoustic guitars and brass instruments to capturing the nuances of stringed instruments and even entire drum sets. Not only that, but the regimented manufacturing process ensures you can use any two CC8 as matched pairs for stereo recording – regardless of when they were produced.

Switchable high-pass filter and two analog pads

Control and shape your sound using the onboard high-pass filter controls and the two varied analog pads. The switchable high-pass filter can be used to eliminate unwanted low-end rumble when recording certain sound sources. With two settings to choose from (60 Hz and 120 Hz – both 2nd order), you can handle any recording task that's thrown at you. The small-diaphragm design means the microphone can be positioned in places that other larger microphones, allowing you to mic up even in tight and difficult places. It also boasts low self-noise, ensuring you get pristine sound quality even when recording quieter sources such as stringed instruments or softer vocal performances.

Complete with premium-grade accessory package

Also included with the CC8 is a range of premium-quality accessories that will have you recording straight out of the box. The OCH8 mic clip is perfect for mounting the CC8 to various mic stands. A CCW8 windscreen is also included which can be used when recording on location to minimise wind noise and improve intelligibility. You can also store and transport the CC8 microphone thanks to the robust carrying case with space for all your accessories.
