Key Features
The Slate VTC Vintage Tube is a collection of three meticulously modelled vintage tube circuits, taken from some of the most famous outboard mixers and preamps ever made. Boasting a huge range of functionality in a compact and sleek interface, each model within Slate VTC features both a Console and Preamplifier mode to alter the character and response of each module, letting you achieve a wide range of tones for almost any sound source.
Slate Virtual Tube Collection is the ultimate solution for digital mixing engineers looking to transform the sounds of sterile digital sound sources and add colour, warmth, depth and vibe to your mixes. With each model serving a unique sonic signature, you can add saturation to help add grit and character to your signal, high-pass your signal to remove any unruly low-end and mix your dry signal in parallel with the perfectly tuned mix knob.
Capable of delivering authentic analog tones to any sound source from vocals, drums, guitar, keyboards, synths, bass and more, Slate VTC is the perfect choice for the modern producer looking to capture the authenticity and vibe of chart-topping albums from yesteryear.

Each model within Slate VTC has been meticulously modelled to provide an unrivalled performance that displays all the characteristics, nonlinearities and colour you would expect from vintage analog hardware. Using proprietary modelling techniques, VTC accurately recreates the interaction that each component within the hardware unit has with each other to produce complex and authentic analog tones.
Firstly, London is inspired by vintage tube circuits that originated in European studios and featured heavily on some of the biggest records of the '60s and '70s. Delivering a classic vintage flavour with larger than life lows, bold midrange and smooth top-end, London is the ultimate companion for keys and electric guitars to help bring out the articulation, warmth and detail needed to cut above even the densest of mixes. The transient response is slower than other models with a distinctive thickness without it being overbearing or too aggressive, perfect for adding weight to your tracks. When in preamp mode, London will add a layer of low-end to thicken up anemic sounding tracks, whilst in console mode, London will carefully add musical harmonics and saturation to a full mix.
Next is the New York module. A staple in the history of music production, known for its aggressive and articulate sound, the New York module authentically recreates the sonic signature of the analog hardware counterpart. Inspired by vintage circuits with a hint of alternative New York solid-state discrete circuits, the New York module has the perfect balance between tightness and impact. An aggressive module boasting a strong mid-range, New York works immaculately on drum shells and bass guitar thanks to the tight low-end resulting from dynamic harmonic saturation. Adding a tremendous level of punch and focus in the preamp mode, New York will help to sit your drum shells seamlessly in a mix, whilst retaining all of their character and dynamic. Combining heavy saturation with a parallel mix of wet and dry using the mix knob, New York is sure to impress.
The most colourful of the three modules, Hollywood delivers a truly larger than life experience, just like the place it's named from. Producing articulate and detailed high-end, it has an airy character that adds excitement and brightness to your sound, making it the ultimate solution for main vocals. Of course, that's not to say that Hollywood lacks low-end, run your electric bass or synth bass through it and discover a strong fundamental that delivers punch and weight.
