Instead of a conventional ratio control, the strip provides access to Comp 1, Comp 2, and Limit modes, allowing you to switch between different compression curves depending on the material. Softube has streamlined the workflow by combining gain staging functions into a single threshold control while preserving the original character of the hardware. This approach makes it easy to move from gentle level control to more assertive limiting, helping drums, vocals, bass, and mix buses sit confidently within a production.
The equaliser section draws directly from the Curve Bender Mastering Equalizer, offering both subtle tonal refinement and significant corrective shaping.
