A good reason it's among the two main seasonings is its universal appeal and application. It stands to reason that the Tierra Audio Pepper has been named appropriately to reflect this. Perfectly balanced in tone, the Pepper delivers a very defined sound with subtle distortion that is only noticeable on the very loudest of signal peaks. Fast transient response and a fair helping of compression make this the perfect solution for the live performer looking to even out their performance, adding definition and consistency without colouring your sound. The transformerless design gives a transparent signal path from input to output, ensuring that the sound you have dialled to perfection is maintained, no matter the circumstance. The compression effect makes this perfect for live vocalists or guitarists in fast and energetic bands playing rock or metal due to the fast transient response and linear tonal balance.
Take your sound with you wherever you go thanks to the ultra-compact design that's ideal for storing in your gigbag, backpack, case, or wherever else your gear might be stored. Designed to fit even inside the back pocket of your favourite pair of jeans, the Tierra Audio Pepper packs a huge punch in a small enclosure. The perfect choice for the modern musician, the passive design means that you won't need to power the unit with mains or with batteries, meaning you can use the Pepper on stage, in the recording studio, at home during your livestreams or even while travelling on the go!
Hand-built in Spain by expert engineers and designers, the Flavour Preamp, Pepper is constructed with studio-grade components that provides crystal clear sound quality. Expertly designed, the Pepper features no input transformer to allow for a transparent transfer of sound in and out. This attribute allows the Pepper to bring a very defined sound that responds fast to transients and delivers a balanced tonal output. After being carefully constructed, each unit is calibrated before shipping to establish that the gain curves, signal to noise ratio and THD levels are up to standard, ensuring you get the best performance from your Pepper as possible.
Please note: If you want to use the Flavours Preamps with condenser microphones or with active (phantom-powered) ribbon microphones, you will have to use an external phantom power source to feed your microphone. Phantom Power will not reach the microphone with a Flavour Preamp.
