Switchable classics in one plug-in
Dial in the exact flavour you need by switching between models of the original instruments. Subtle differences in aliasing and overall edge are preserved, letting you pick anything from pronounced digital bite to a more restrained response without leaving the session. You get the familiar panel layout with clearer parameter names and values, so programming is quick and recallable. This keeps the character that made the originals stand out while offering the practical benefits of a modern software instrument, including host automation and MIDI control for streamlined integration in your existing setup.
Polyphony for dense pads and stacks
With up to 256 voices per instance (host-dependent), you have ample headroom for layered textures and long releases. Unison options—poly, dual, quad or mono—let you thicken sounds fast, while separate semitone adjustments per part enable instant chords or melodic intervals without extra MIDI tracks. This makes complex pads, wide ensembles and assertive leads straightforward to build and manage. Whether you’re arranging evolving atmospheres or tight hooks, the available voice count and flexible unison modes keep your parts stable and playable across demanding projects.
Wavetables and sampling, made practical
Each voice provides two wavetable oscillators and optional sample playback at selectable 8, 12 or 32-bit resolution. Drag and drop to load material, then choose the bit depth to introduce lo-fi grit or cleaner contours as needed. You also get more than 100 new wavetables created by Wolfgang Palm, plus the original Waveterm B factory sample library and factory sounds as reliable starting points. This combination covers classic timbres and modern textures alike, giving you the tools to move smoothly through evolving waves or lock into distinctive digital tones with minimal setup.
Routing, modulation and effects for production
An 8-part multimode with eight stereo outputs makes splits, layers and external processing easy. The recreated low-pass filter (12 or 24 dB) adds familiar contour, with optional overdrive for extra weight. Modulation is straightforward: an LFO and three envelopes can run with either the original punchier behaviour or a smoother modern feel. The arpeggiator supports up, down, alternate and the distinctive Cascade mode. Finish inside the instrument using a 4-band EQ, multiple overdrive types, a phaser up to 12 stages, chorus up to six taps, flanger, stereo delay and reverb, then automate via host or MIDI for precise control.
