Similar to all other Theo Wanne products, the Durga 3 soprano sax mouthpiece is manufactured using advanced machining techniques to ensure every mouthpiece is exactly the same. The True Large Chamber in the Durga 3 mouthpiece is larger than the bore and creates a rich and full sounding tone. Like other professional mouthpieces, the Durga 3 is crafted from pure latex hard rubber to ensure the best quality. Hard rubber is prefered by musicians who want a more mellow tone compared to a bright tone produced by a metal mouthpiece.
The Theo Wanne Durga 3 Soprano Sax Mouthpiece is a professional mouthpiece for saxophonists that require a large sound. The tip found on the Durga 3 hard rubber 8 mouthpiece requires more air compared to the 7 model but can produce a wider tone. This amount of resistance is essential for producing the large sound required for a rock & roll tone. The tip holds good intonation and only requires a small amount of effort to bend notes when required.
The Theo Wanne Durga 3 Soprano Sax Mouthpiece includes everything you need to look after the mouthpiece. The included beautiful leatherette case will ensure that the mouthpiece is always protected when travelling. The professional Enlightened Ligature is Theo Wanne's number 1 ligature and makes sure the reed is always held securely. The Durga 3 also includes a reed replacer cap and user replaceable bite pads. Every Theo Wanne mouthpiece is supplied with a unique serial number.

"Bravo!!!!! The Durga 3 soprano mouthpiece is a robust, full bodied workhorse of a mouthpiece. The low end of my expensive Soprano sounds quite full, especially the Bb, with a Wayne Shorteresqe…full sound , dark and rich…the Durga 3 plays even from bottom to my altissimo G….very easy and a joy to play…allows the horn to play in tune without any unnecessary back pressure!" Louis VanTaylor (Kool and the Gang)
"Sound is paramount for me, and the Durga 3 offers a beautiful rich core sound throughout the horn, a singing flute-like upper register, and a miraculous altissimo (the overtones really pop.) The dynamic range is substantial without sacrificing tone quality at either end of the spectrum. Attack in the lower register is easier and more present than I’ve experienced before on my Mark VI. In fact, problems of intonation and unevenness in tone quality that I had attributed to the notorious fussiness of the Mark VI were greatly improved just by attaching your Durga 3. I was skeptical because of the baffle (I hate whinny sounding sopranos), but now that I’ve had a chance to try it, I think this is really a great mouthpiece!" Mark Miller (Professor of Music at NAROPA University)
"Just amazing! It does everything well and has none of the drawbacks of other metal mouthpieces. My favorite soprano mouthpiece EVER!" Koh Mr. Saxman (Asia’s top saxophonist)
